Wind blows when the land gets unevenly heated up by the sun making the air just above the land, rise and expand. When the hot air above the land expands, its place is filled in by the heavier and cooler air above it. This makes the wind blow. So as long as the sun shines, the wind will continue to blow.
For those who seek a constant power supply, wind energy is a good option. Wind energy can be garnered through the use of wind turbines. The winds created as a result of the temperature difference flows over the blades of the Windmill or wind turbine to make it rotate. The rotating wind turbine helps in turning the generator that produces the electricity. The wind mill or turbine generates wind power by conversion of wind kinetic energy into mechanical.
The technology used for generation of wind energy has become advanced. Many new technologies have decreased the cost of producing electricity from wind 80% since 1980. As such the wind farms investments have also risen in recent times. Wind energy is slowly but surely catching the world attention as an ideal source of alternative energy.

You are absolutely correct I feel. In future wind energy could be a very good alternative as an energy source. The process is bit slow but work is going on it and it would help a lot both in providing energy and also reducing pollution.
